Tonya A. Wentz, 38, of 240 S. 2nd St., Lehighton passed away June 9th in Lehighton. She was the companion of Fred J. Hancharick. Born in Allentown, Pa. she was the daughter of Ann Kuntzman Goldberg and the stepdaughter of Richard Goldberg of Lehighton and the daughter of late William Edwards. She was a housewife and was of the Evangelical Congregational Christian Faith. Surviving in addition to her companion, mother, & stepfather is a daughter, Taya Wentz, & 2 sons, Stone Wentz & Slate Hancharick of Lehighton. She was predeceased by 1 son, Spencer Hancharick. A Celebration Of Life Service will be held on Saturday, June 12th at 2 p.m. graveside at The Packerton Cemetery, Beaver Run Drive, Lehighton with SALM Emma Weaver & Reverend Douglas D. Evans officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name may be made to Animals in Distress, 5075 Limeport Pike, Coopersburg, Pa. 18036, Carbon County Friends of Animals, 900 Walnut Avenue, Jim Thorpe, Pa. 18229, or Carbon County Animal Shelter, 63 Broad St. Nesquehoning, Pa. 18240 Online condolences may be offered at www.ovsakfh.com

We are sure going to miss Tanya. She was fun and entertaining to be around. All of us looked looked forward to seeing her when we could. Her caring attitude, which we saw examples of many times, was infectious. We like to think that we are more caring towards others because of the example she set.
