Marguerite H. Thomas, 91, of 427 North 8th Street, Lehighton, passed away Sunday, June 6th at The Gnaden Huetten Memorial Hospital, Lehighton. She was the wife of the late David P. Thomas Sr. Born in Lehighton she was a daughter of the late Stanley G. & Marie Hoffman DeFrehn. Prior to her retirement in 1982, Marguerite was employed in the garment industry as a spreader for the former Peerless Mills. Marguerite was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lehighton, The Lehighton American Legion Post 314 Ladies Auxillary, & The BPOE Lady Elks, Lehighton. Surviving is a son David P. “Buzzy” Thomas Jr. & his wife Rajana of Lehighton, 4 Grandchildren, Yvette Thomas, companion of Peter Bensen, Lorie wife of Gary Grauvogel, David & Derek Thomas, 1 Great-granddaughter, Brandy, wife of Eric Kresge, 1 Great-great-granddaughter, Paige Kresge, Nieces & Nephews. She was preceded in death by 1 sister, Arlene Begel, & 1 brother, Goodwin “Stump” DeFrehn. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 10th at 10:30 a.m. at The Andrew P. Ovsak Funeral Home, 190 South 4th St., Lehighton with the Reverend Robert A. Von Frisch officiating. Call 9:30-10:30 on Thursday at the funeral home.
