Sophia C. Frey, 80, of 149 S. 6th St. Apt.# C-1, passed away on Mother’s Day at the Gnaden Huetten Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Norman A. Frey Sr. Born in Palmerton, Pa. she was a daughter of the late Charles & Quilla Donner Hottenstein. Prior to her retirement she was employed by Bishop’s Mills, Lehighton as a sewing machine operator. She was a member of The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Lehighton. Surviving is a daughter, Renee wife of Michael Nothstein of Hampton, Virginia, 2 sons, Norman Frey Jr. and his wife Bonnie of Mahoning Valley, Terry Frey and his wife Joanne of Lehighton, 1 sister Phyllis Larzelere of Lehighton, 7 Grandchildren, 8 Greatgrandchildren, Nieces & Nephews. She was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Florence Peterson, Irene Hottenstein, Myrtle Ketchledge, & 4 brothers, Albert, James, Leroy & Harold. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, May 12th at 1 p.m. at The Andrew P. Ovsak FH, 190 South 4th St., Lehighton with Brother Ira Snyder officiating. Call 11:30a.m.- 1 p.m. on Wed. at the funeral home. The interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
