Joanne , Herring . Obituary


Joanne Herring, 68, of 1910 Hahn's Dairy Road, Palmerton, Pa. passed away February 17th at The Lehigh Valley Hospital Center, Salisbury Township, Pa. She was the wife of Dennis Herring of Palmerton. They were married for 30 years last December 28th, 2009. Born in Lehighton, Joanne was a daughter of the late George & Ada Rex Brown. She was of the Lutheran Faith and attended services at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Palmerton. Prior to her retirement, Joanne was employed at various garment mills in the Carbon & Lehigh areas as a sewing machine operator. Survivng are two daughters, Ginger wife of Rex Benner & Bonnie Tertel of Palmerton, Pa., 2 sons, Stephen Bickert and his wife Michelle (Meckes), and Ricky Brown and his wife Vicki (Christman) of Lehighton, 1 brother, Robert Brown of Lehighton, 1 sister, Geraldine Kutzler of Allentown, 3 stepdaughters, Tanya wife of Larry Strohl, Diane wife of Barry Berger, & Wanda Herring of Lehighton, 12 Grandchildren, 6 Greatgrandchildren, Nieces & Nephews. She was preceded in death by 1 son, Todd Stephen Bickert, 1 brother, Larry Brown, & 3 sisters, Ruth Knauss, Jean Reppert, & Virginia Hillborn. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, February 20th at 11 a.m. at The Andrew P. Ovsak Funeral Home, 190 South 4th Street, Lehighton with The Reverend Nancy L. Moore officiating followed by interment services in the Lehighton Cemetery. Friends & relatives are invited to the visitation from 10-11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. She was not only my Mother but my friend she will always be with me no matter were I go . I loved her dearly . I will miss he so. When we ride she will be there to ride along side . I will miss her laughs and her flashing . She just liked to have fun . Love you mom and one day I will see you again and we will have those days back again . Rest in peace now .
